The Rastafari community is today, marking the 60th anniversary of Emperor Haile Selassie’s transformative visit to Jamaica with a celebration now underway at the Louise Bennett Garden Theatre.

The event will feature cultural performances, re-enactments, and tributes highlighting the visit’s lasting impact on rastafari identity, african unity, and global culture.

Performers include Mutabaruka, Chinna Smith, and Mystic Revelation of Rastafari, Andrew Tosh and Naki Wailer and among others.
