Tokyo Olympic sprint relay gold medalist Ramona Burchell was a sixth place finisher  earlier at the Czech Indoor Gala yesterday ,the second world Athletics Indoor Tour gold meeting in Ostrava.

Burchell stopped the clock at 7.42 seconds, as the event was won by the Polish star Eva Swaboda in a new meeting record 7.07 seconds. 

The other Jamaican at the meet, national record holder Javindra Campbell was also a sixth place finisher in the men’s shot Putt event, with a throw registering 20.76 meters, his best throw on his fourth attempt. 

A feat that fell below his Jamaican indoor record 21.13 meters achieved last Friday in Poland but which surpassed the indoor record of 20.68 meters set by O’dayne Richards in 2019.
