Dancehall star Spice is celebrating a proud moment after being honoured at the Georgia State Capitol on March 31.

The reigning Queen of Dancehall took to social media on Tuesday to share that she received an award for Outstanding Citizen Achievement at the Influential Women of Georgia Day, held on March 31.

In her caption, Spice reflected on her younger self, “little Gracie,” and how far she has come from humble beginnings to being recognized on an international level. “Mi Dearrrr, little Gracie is here, walking into rooms I never even dreamed of,” she wrote in part.

The recognition comes just as the curtains closed yesterday on the month-long observation of Women’s History Month observed annually during March.

Spice expressed gratitude to those who played a role in the occasion, including Secretary of the State of Georgia, Brad Raffensperger.

She also congratulated the women honoured alongside her, including Rasheeda Frost and Mariah Huq, whom she described as her beautiful black sisters.

Vybz kartel, Lisa Hannah, Pamputtae, DJ Norie, Dovey Magnum, Richie Feelings, Dyema Attitude and Ms Kitty are some of the industry players who congratulated Spice on the achievement.
