Fresh from their sparkling record run, members of Hydel’s record-breaking team at the Penn Relays are set to close out their season at this weekend’s 4th staging of the East Coast International Showcase at Morgan State University in Maryland.

Hydel will be joined by three other Jamaican schools: Holmwood Technical, Excelsior High, and Denbigh High.

There will also be an individual appearance by Calabar’s Shaquane Gordon.

The Jamaicans will be joined by a host of schools from Eastern USA, including Bullis School and their US Olympic gold medalist, Quincy Wilson.

Head organiser and Jamaican Olympian Sanjay Ayre tells us more.

Ayre pointed out that they are concentrating more on quality than quantity this year for a very good reason.

Ayre, an Olympic Silver medalist, added that Denbigh High has been allowed to showcase their abilities.
