Public Sector workers urged not to see technology as replacement of humans but as a tool to amplify creativity and efficiency
Finance and Public Service Minister Fayval Williams has urged the island’s public sector workers not to see technology as a replacement of humans but as a tool to amplify creativity and efficiency.
Speaking at the church service for Civil Service Week this morning, the Finance Minister noted that this year’s theme “The Public Sector: Beyond Srtificial Intelligence (AI)” is a challenge to embrace artificial intelligence.
She said while artificial intelligence is transforming the way government offices function, Jamaica’s public service is distinguished by its human intelligence.
She said the Andrew Holness led administration remains committed to modernising the public sector.
Ms. Williams was speaking on behalf of Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness.
