Public medical doctors and members of civil service remain restive over unresolved issue with Finance Ministry
Some public sector workers remain restive about the overdue implementation of certain items already agreed with the Finance Minister, despite the ministers’ request for them to hold strain.
Members of the Jamaica Civil Service Association, JCSA, wore black clothing today, as a display of a united stance in their demand for the ministry to expedite the resolution of outstanding matters, related to their compensation.
JCSA President Techa Clarke Griffiths said today’s Black Out Friday was well supported by workers from several agencies, departments and ministries.
Noting that it has been a year since the compensation matters were agreed to, Mrs. Clarke Griffiths said the union will continue to advocate for implementation so that workers can get their outstanding monies.
