A statement from Supreme Promotions said STING 2024 was postponed due to unforeseen reasons beyond their control.

Isiah Laing later revealed that the show was postponed because of the withdrawal of Clearsound,  the production company contracted for the event. 

In response, Clearsound Production released a statement alleging that Supreme Promotions failed to fulfill its financial obligations. The production company wrote that they were contracted to provide power generation, roofing systems, audio, lighting, visuals, and pyrotechnics. 

The statement indicated in part that an agreed mobilization amount of 8 million Jamaican dollars was to be paid by December 22 but the statement says despite assurances and word-of-mouth promises, only a total of 1million Jamaican dollars was received from Laing. Further noting that the remaining 7 million Jamaican dollars which was promised by December 24 was not received.

However, Clearsound adds that they received a photo of a purported RTGS transaction for 6.5 Million dollars but this amount remains outstanding. Clearsound wrote that on the night of December 25 with their equipment fully in place, the promoters abandoned the facility without arranging for security, and in light of those hazardous conditions and financial issues, they issued a formal cease and desist order on all operations related to Sting 2024.

Tommy Lee Sparta, Pablo YG, Gyptian, Shane O, Yaksta, Teflon Young King were some of the artistes slated to perform at Sting 2024.
