Probe underway to determine if two people found dead in wheel well of JetBlue plane in Florida were Jamaican
Investigations are underway to determine if two people found dead in the wheel well of a JetBlue plane at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida, U.S.A were Jamaican.
The bodies were discovered Monday night during a post-flight maintenance inspection.
JetBlue said the plane had most recently operated as flight 1801 from John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport in New York, however, the Airbus jet was in service nearly all day Monday, first taking off from Kingston, Jamaica at 1:10 A.M.
It arrived in New York ahead of a 7:36 A.M. departure to Salt Lake City and then flew back to JFK before concluding its day in Fort Lauderdale.
It is suspected that the stowaways got on board the aircraft in Jamaica.
