Principals of St Catherine-based schools urged to establish safety and security committees – SSP Christopher Phillips
Head of the St Catherine South Police, Senior Superintendent (SSP), Christopher Phillips has urged principals of St Catherine-based schools to establish safety and security committees.
This follows the murder of 8-year-old Danielle Rowe who was abducted from the Braeton Primary School last week, and later found with her throat slashed on Thursday.
Despite attempts to save her life, she succumbed to her injuries on Saturday.
SSP Phillips who was speaking at a special devotion at Danielle’s school this morning (June 12) said plans are in place to have a police officer assigned to each committee.
He also noted that more attention will be given to primary schools.
