Principal of Jessie Ripoll primary school and his wife laid to rest today
Principal of the Kingston-based Jessie Ripoll primary school O’Neil Stevens and his wife Camesha Lindsay-Stevens were laid to rest today.
The couple was killed in a motor vehicle crash in the United States on Friday, January 3.
The funeral service was held at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, in Kingston.
Scores of people were in attendance, including relatives, friends, students of the school and government officials, among them, education minister Dr. Dana Morris Dixon.
In her tribute, Dr. Morris Dixon lauded the late couple for making significant contributions to the nation, noting that their passing is a tremendous loss.
The minister added that Mr. Stevens had students’ best interest at heart.
