Prime Minister Andrew Holness says challenge of undertaking census is not unique to Jamaica
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has noted that the challenge of undertaking a census is not unique to Jamaica.
The 2022 population and housing census is yet to be completed due to several issues.
the Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) says the challenges include, difficulty engaging census takers to collect the necessary data.
STATIN and the Government have been criticized by the Opposition and members of the public.
Speaking at the Jamaica Mortgage Bank’s ribbon-cutting ceremony in Kingston yesterday, Holness said like Jamaica, other countries also have issues executing censuses.
