Prime Minister Andrew Holness has suggested that Mandeville could soon be granted city status
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has suggested that Mandeville in Manchester could soon be granted city status.
This would be contingent on more development of the parish capital in the future.
Speaking at a home handing-over event in Perth, Mr Holness noted the increase in Mandeville’s population, which connects to the increase in demand for housing.
More housing comes with the development of related infrastructure such as roads and water.
Mr Holness pointed out that Mandeville is urbanising at a rapid pace.
