Mayor of Black River Richard Solomon told IRIE FM news that all plans are in place and shelters are on standby.
He said areas such as new market are vulnerable to flooding.
Meanwhile, over in Manchester, Mayor of Mandeville Donovan Mitchell said the final preparations are underway.
