Power has been restored to 83% of Jamaica Public Service (JPS) customers.

The update was given this afternoon.

Speaking at a press briefing, JPS Chairman Damian Obiglio said power has been restored to most hospitals.

He said effort is being made to energize the Black River Hospital in St. Elizabeth.

He said work continues island-wide to get all customers back on the grid.
