A post-mortem has revealed, that 13-year-old Shantina Sergeant died from blunt force trauma.
The teen’s mutilated and burnt body was discovered at the back of her home in Baillieston, along the Manchester/Clarendon border on Monday, October 6.
Lawmen had listed her 46-year-old father, Lawrence Sergeant as a person of interest in her murder.
He was nabbed in St. Catherine and taken into custody on Friday.
Detectives in Manchester questioned Sergeant yesterday.
They say a post-mortem concluded that the teen died from a hard blow.
Sergeant and another relative were also swabbed as part of DNA testing for a forensics report.
