Member of Parliament for East Central St. Catherine, Alando Terrelonge says Portmore will house the next technological capital of the Caribbean, which will prompt greater economic investments in Jamaica.

Mr. Terrelonge made the declaration at the Jamaica Labour Party’s Area Council 1 meeting in west rural St. Andrew last night.

He also maintained that Portmore will become the country’s 15th parish – a source for Jamaica’s future growth.

Mr. Terrelonge also addressed recent criticism, especially from the Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) which has been against the move to transition Portmore to parish status.
