Port Royal residents to benefit from newly commissioned replacement pipeline
Over 2,000 residents, visitors, and cruise ship tourists will benefit from the newly commissioned replacement pipeline in Port Royal, Kingston.
The $530 million project was completed, just over a year after work started.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness noted that the residents of Port Royal have long suffered from being served with aged infrastructure, which was not able to carry the required capacity of water.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony today Mr. Holness said the new replacement pipeline will improve significantly, the reliability of the potable water supply, ensuring better water distribution with sufficient pressure and flow.
He said this will elevate the quality of life for residents and visitors to, port royal.
