Police urge parents to educate children on road safety habits as new school year progresses
As the new academic year gets underway, parents are being urged to educate children on appropriate road safety habits to ensure they return home from school free of harm.
Head of the police’s Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, Assistant Commissioner Gary McKenzie made the appeal, even as he encourages motorists to give careful attention to students who traverse the nation’s roadways each day.
ACP McKenzie also notes that the police will continue to play a role in keeping students safe.
