Police say significant progress is being made in Barbara Gayle murder investigation; missing vehicle recovered
Investigators say they are making significant progress in the murder investigation of veteran journalist Barbara Gayle.
This, as they have located the motor vehicle that went missing from her home.
The Mercedes Benz GLA was recovered on Dyke Road in St. Catherine this morning.
Ms. Gayle’s body was discovered at her home in the Caymanas Estate Country Club in St. Catherine, yesterday morning.
She was reportedly hit in the head and stabbed several times.
The police say they are following strong leads in their probe into the killing.
Commanding Officer for the St. Catherine South division, Deputy Superintendent Michael Campbell says a person of interest has been identified.
The police have urged anyone who may have information that can assist with the investigations to contact Crime Stop at 311, NIB at 811, or the nearest police station.
