Police say man killed after attacking patrons at a bar in Cocoa Ridge, St. Catherine was a known violence-producer
The St. Catherine North police have indicated that the man who attacked patrons at a bar in Cocoa Ridge, Bellas Gate, St. Catherine on Tuesday, was a known violence producer.
The man has been identified as Odane Jemminson otherwise called ‘Mawga Dog’ of Gold Mine district.
A patron was shot and killed during the incident.
Dead is twenty-four-year-old farmer Jimmanni Letts otherwise called ‘Zungo’ or ‘Zheng’, of Cocoa Ridge.
Head of the division superintendent Hopton Nicholson noted that based on reports, Letts was among patrons at a bar when Jemminson entered.
When Jemminson pointed a gun at a man inside the bar, patrons intervened, and the gun went off, resulting in Letts being hit. The patrons then retaliated.
Superintendent Nicholson said Jemminson was linked to 3 murders.
