Two Manchester men are in custody following the seizure of an illegal gun and several parcels of ganja in Heartease, Cross Keys, early Sunday morning.

The men are also suspected of having breached the noise abatement act.

Reports are that members of the Area 3 police carried out an operation at a business establishment, where an event was being held without a permit.

During a search of the premises, a Smith and Wesson 9MM pistol with a magazine containing seven rounds of ammunition was found inside a garbage bin inside a bathroom.

Several parcels of ganja were also seized. The two men were arrested.

Their identities are being withheld pending charges.
