An 83-year-old man is suspected to have drowned at Grandpa Falls in Trinityville, St. Thomas, yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Dalford McDuffus of Coley Lot, Trinityville in the parish.

Reports indicate that around 1:30 P.M., McDuffus was swimming in the river when he got into difficulty.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators from the St. Thomas Police Division are probing the circumstances surrounding his death.
