Police probing gun attack on Jahshii’s entourage
Dancehall entertainer Jahshii and members of his entourage were attacked by gunmen on Constant Spring Road in Kingston this morning (July 7).
The entertainer was not hurt.
Police report that the incident happened shortly after 4 AM as they left an event in the area.
Speaking to IRIE FM News this morning, Head of the St. Andrew Central police, Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth said six members of Jahshii’s entourage were wounded.
He noted that the incident could have been an act of reprisal.
He called on the entertainer to turn himself in for questioning at the Half Way Tree police station.
SSP Nesbeth said measures will be implemented to prevent a recurrence of this morning’s incident.
In the meantime, he said regular traffic flow has been restored along Constant Spring road, which was reduced to single lane traffic due to the incident.
