Police probing fatal shooting of man in bizarre incident at burial site in St. Catherine
A man was fatally shot yesterday in a bizarre incident at a burial after he allegedly removed the corpse from the coffin.
Dead is 23-year-old, Isaac Foster, who police say was reportedly of unsound mind.
Foster was shot allegedly by a licensed firearm holder during the incident at the Dovecot Memorial Park and Crematorium in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.
Police reports indicate that Foster was throwing rocks at the coffin before he removed the corpse.
A video of the ordeal, which has gone viral on social media, shows Foster splashing a substance on the coffin and himself, as mourners call out for police intervention.
The video shows a man in a suit approaching Foster and gunshots are heard.
Foster was taken to hospital by police who were at the scene.
He was later pronounced dead.
