The police are probing a bullying incident at a primary school in Portland.

The incident which involved students ages 9, 10 and 12 was captured on video which has gone viral.

Several social media users have expressed outrage at the incident.

The police said the students involved in the altercation were identified and their parents notified. 

According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, after being made aware of the video, school resource officers attached to the Portland Community Safety and Security Branch, CSSB, visited the school today.

The JCF said its members, the Child Protection and Family Services Agency, representatives from the Education Ministry and the school administration have pledged to work together to address the incident.
