Police investigating robbery of over $20M from Beryllium courier vehicle
Investigation continues into the robbery of millions of dollars from a Beryllium courier vehicle yesterday (June 8).
Over 20 million dollars in cash was stolen from the Toyota Probox that broke down in Rollington Town in Kingston.
Head of the Kingston Eastern Division Superintendent Tommy-lee Chambers told Irie Fm News that the three security officers two of whom were armed, stopped to get breakfast when the vehicle broke down.
She said the men who were stranded for over 2 hours, tried fixing the vehicle when a man drove up and a gunman snatched the cash and sped off.
She said police presence has been increased in the area.
