The police have identified the parent who was shot dead outside the Rousseau Primary School in St. Andrew, yesterday.

Dead is 36 year old Deshawn Newry of Barbican Road Kingston 8.

Reports from the police are that at about 8:55am, Newry had dropped off his child at the institution and was entering his motor vehicle, when gunmen opened fire hitting him.

Newry was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

This is the second such incident at the school in just a month.

On October 15, another parent was killed in full view of students on the school’s premises.
