Police find vehicle believed to be linked to abduction of woman in St. Andrew

Police say they have found a vehicle which they believe could be linked to the abduction of a woman in St. Andrew last month.

She is Lorna Robertson, a Jamaica Labour Party worker.

It is reported that Ms. Robertson was abducted by persons in a van in the vicinity of Downer Avenue in Swallowfield on Friday, May 30.

CCTV footage of the incident has reportedly gone viral.

The video shows a woman who appears to be Ms. Robertson walking along the roadway when a van drives up beside her.

A man who was also walking along the roadway pulled Ms. Robertson into the vehicle, which then sped away.

Jamaica Labour Party Caretaker for South East St. Andrew, Kevin Frith, has called on the police to leave no stone unturned as they investigate.

Speaking to IRIE FM News yesterday evening, Head of the St. Andrew Central Police, Superintendent Mark Harris, said the vehicle was found abandoned.

He said further investigations continue.
