Three people including a Police Corporal were killed in 2 separate crashes in St. Ann between last evening and this morning.

Dead are Corporal Hampton Russell who was attached to the Claremont Police Station and Akeem Fulton of Belair District, Runaway Bay, St. Ann. 

The other deceased-a woman, has not yet been identified.

She was killed in the latest incident along the Llandovery main road at about 1:53am.

Reports are that the woman was a passenger in a motor car travelling along the roadway, when the driver lost control and collided with another vehicle. 

The woman and 3 other persons sustained injuries and were taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

And hours earlier, Corporal Russell and Fulton were killed in a crash along the Richmond main road in St. Ann’s Bay.

Reports are that at about 8pm, Corporal Russell was driving his motorcar along the roadway with Fulton as a passenger when the driver of a motor car overtook a line of traffic and collided head on with the cop’s vehicle.

Corporal Russell and Fulton were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Investigations continue.
