Police Commissioner Dr. Kevin Blake describes calls for more accountability from the JCF, as a slap in the face of INDECOM
Police Commissioner Dr. Kevin Blake has described calls for more accountability from the Constabulary Force, as a slap in the face of the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
Dr. Blake was reacting to calls from some sections of society, including human rights lobby group Jamaicans for Justice (JFJ).
In a statement on Friday, Dr. Blake sought to defend police accountability.
The police chief stressed that the JCF supports the work of INDECOM, as the watchdog agency plays a crucial role in keeping officers in check.
