Police charge two men following murder of 21 y/o man last week Saturday
The St Ann police have charged two men following the murder of 21-year-old Jordane Miller, last week Saturday March 7.
Miller, otherwise called ‘Jay,’ was from Retirement District, Browns Town, St Ann.
Charged are : 35-year-old taxi driver, Lonni Jackson, otherwise called ‘Ackadat,’ and 31-year old Sheldon Allen, otherwise called ‘Tall Strap,’ both of St Ann.
They are charged with murder, conspiracy to murder, wounding with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony.
Reports from the St Ann’s Bay Police, are that at about 11:00 P.M., Miller and Allen were allegedly involved in a confrontation, during which, Allen reportedly used a machete, to chop Miller on his head.
It was further alleged that Allen called Jackson, who was armed with a firearm, and he is accused of opening fire at Miller, hitting him in the chest and face.
Police say the men then fled the scene.
Cops were alerted, and on their arrival, Miller was transported to the hospital for treatment, but later succumbed.
Allen and Jackson were arrested and charged after several statements were recorded from eyewitnesses and also based on a caution statement, collected from the accused men admitting to the crime.
Their court date is being finalised.
