Police challenge Jamaicans to make the last day of 2024, free of crime and violence

With 2025 being less than 18 hours away, the police are challenging Jamaicans to make the last day of 2024 free of crime and violence.

Head of the Constabulary’s Communications Network, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Stephanie Lindsay gave the charge yesterday.

Noting that over 1,100 people were murdered in the country up to Saturday, December 28, an 18.6% reduction compared to 2023, SSP Lindsay said 2024 has been a relatively good year.

She is hoping that the year will end on a good note, with no bloodletting and criminality being recorded today.
