Police: Bog Walk Gorge roadway remains impacted by fallen utility poles and wires following train derailing incident
The St. Catherine north police indicated that the Bog Walk Gorge remains closed to vehicular traffic as emergency responders attempt to clear fallen utility poles and wires following a train line accident nearby.
Reports are that a Windalco train derailed, resulting in some box cars falling into the river, earlier this afternoon.
The incident happened at about 12:45 p.m.
No one was injured.
Head of the division, Superintendent Hopton Nicholson said teams are still in the area.
Meantime, Mining minster Floyd Green said he is awaiting a report of the incident.
