Police and soldiers working to clear debris amid protests in Portland and St. Mary
Police and soldiers are working to clear debris mounted by protesting residents in sections of Portland and St. Mary this morning.
The residents, who are upset over the lack of electricity in their communities following the passage of Hurricane Beryl on July 3, blocked roadways in Windsor Castle in Portland.
Sections of Annotto bay and the Junction main road in St. Mary are also affected.
Lawmen have so far removed some debris at Windsor Castle and Annotto Bay, allowing single-lane access to commuters.
