The person of interest (POI) in the rape and murder of 9 year old Kelsey Ferrigon was fatally shot by the police during an alleged confrontation in Sandy Bay Clarendon this morning.  

He is Giovanni Ellis of Spanish Town, St. Catherine. 

The details of the incident have not been released by the police.
