The man named as a person of interest in the killing of 29-year-old teacher Tara Pinnock and 14 year old Tahlia Wright in Spanish Town, St. Catherine earlier this week, is suspected to have committed suicide.

He has been identified as 35-year-old taxi operator, Brandon Maine of Bridgeport, St. Catherine.

Maine was listed as a person of interest after the mother and daughter were found dead at their Spanish Town home on Thursday with stab wounds all over their bodies.

He was urged to surrender to the police.

At about 2:15pm yesterday, relatives found Maine hanging from a tree with a rope around his neck in Tweedside, Clarendon.
