PNP to strengthen Integrity Commission if it forms the next government
If the People’s National Party forms the next government, it intends to strengthen the work of the Integrity Commission, by implementing laws for unexplained wealth orders, among other things.
This promise was made by opposition leader Mark Golding while making his contribution to the budget debate in parliament, on Tuesday.
Mr Golding noted concerns about corruption and its impact on national development, due to the diversion of resources and funding from projects and programmes that would benefit citizens.
He said the next PNP led government will fix the issue by giving the country’s anti corruption entity the tools needed to carry out its job effectively.
