PNP says it will not pursue magisterial recounts for seats lost in September 3, General Election
General Secretary of the People’s National Party, Dr. Dayton Campbell, says the PNP will not pursue magisterial recounts for any constituency lost in the September 3 General Election.
The Jamaica Labour Party won with 35 seats compared to the PNP’s 28.
Speaking at a Press Conference this morning, Dr. Campbell noted that the PNP has opted not to contest the final counting of ballots, after being reliably advised not to do so.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary said the Party is concerned about what he claims are acts of aggression and vandalism, following the election.
