Opposition Leader and People’s National Party (PNP) President Mark Golding has called on members of the public to join in protesting against the appointment of Dennis Chung as the Chief Technical Director of the Financial Investigations Division (FID).

Mr. Chung’s appointment takes effect today.

The PNP stated that the appointment is a conflict of interest, as Mr. Chung has made public pronouncements on cases being investigated by the FID, including one related to the statutory declarations of Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness.

Mr. Golding has called on citizens to join PNP members at Heroes Circle in Kingston at 8:30 AM to demand good governance and institutional integrity.
