PNP President disappointed in leadership of JLP over encouragement of racial attacks against him
President of the People’s National Party (PNP) Mark Golding said he is very disappointed in the leadership of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) for what he describes as the tacit encouragement of racial attacks on him.
Speaking at a Press Conference today Mr. Golding declared that he didn’t choose his skin colour, adding that he is a proud Jamaican.
Some members of the JLP have used the political platform to spew racial rhetoric in relation to the PNP president.
Mr Golding, who was asked about his reaction to the racial utterances, said the action of the JLP shows desperation.
Mr. Golding referred to the racial attacks on him as unprecedented, noting the possible effect of this practice on Jamaica’s image.
