PNP expresses sadness after JLP supporter loses leg during nomination day event in St. Thomas
The Opposition People’s National Party, PNP has expressed sadness following the hospitalization of a Jamaica Labour Party, JLP supporter who lost part of her leg during a post nomination day event in St. Thomas, yesterday.
The woman who sustained the injury during a motor vehicle crash in Yallahs is in serious, but stable condition.
Member of Parliament for St. Thomas West, James Robertson says he will be offering support to the woman.
In expressing sadness at the incident, PNP Councillor candidate for the Cedar Valley Division in Western St. Thomas Sandra Anderson, says she hopes the injured woman will recover swiftly.
Ms. Anderson says despite political differences, persons should join hands and rally behind the injured woman.
She is also urging supporters of all political parties to exercise care on the campaign trail.
