PNP Caretaker calls for help for 30 people left homeless following fire in downtown yesterday
People’s National Party’s Councillor Caretaker for Central Kingston, Imani Duncan-Price, is calling on the Mayor of Kingston as well as organizations to provide aid to some 30 people left homeless following a fire in downtown, yesterday (August 8).
The early morning fire gutted several homes on Smith Lane and James Street, leaving 23 adults and 12 children homeless.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, Mrs. Duncan-Price said those affected have been left without basic necessities, such as food and clothes.
She said much help is needed to rebuild.
