PNP calls for review of all processes of PEP
The Opposition People’s National Party is calling for a review of all processes of the Primary Exit Profile, (PEP) examinations.
According to spokesman Senator Damion Crawford, PEP has been reaping more failures, than successes.
He chastised the education ministry for giving the impression that the system has been successful since its establishment.
According to Mr. Crawford, the system has been focused on creating a rounded student, as opposed to a numerate and literate one.
As a result he said there needs to be an analysis of the early days of a child’s life to determine how the system can ensure that the child is literate and numerate.
He said once a student is literate and numerate, becoming a well rounded individual is easier.
