PM says his government cannot support illegal land settlements
Prime Minister Andrew Holness says while he understands the desperate need of many Jamaicans to own a home, the government cannot support illegal land settlements.
He made the statement at a National Social Housing Programme handing over ceremony in Clifton Bernard Lodge, St. Catherine.
Mr. Holness said land acquired illegally is not an asset.
The Prime Minister said citizens do not need to settle lands illegally, as the government is creating housing solutions.
