PM says government is better equipped to withstand future health crises
Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the government is better equipped to withstand future health crises.
He made the statement today during the unveiling of a monument to honor healthcare workers who died during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Holness stressed that the lessons learned from the pandemic have driven substantial investments in infrastructure, workforce development and resilience building within the health sector.
The Prime Minister added that the government is dedicated to strengthening Jamaica’s healthcare system and supporting medical professionals.
