PM says acceleration of investments in infrastructure is crucial to improving productivity
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has stated that acceleration of investments in infrastructure is crucial to improving productivity.
He was speaking Thursday at the installation ceremony for Joseph Issa as the new Custos Rotulorum of St. Ann
Mr Holness noted that his travel time from Kingston to St Ann’s Bay was relatively quick, because of the highway.
Referring to the main roadway along the north coast, Mr Holness acknowledged the traffic challenges experienced by commuters.
He said the government has started work to fix this problem, which will significantly curb the waste of manpower hours, being stuck in traffic.
The Prime Minister said while these investments take time, it must not be at the mercy of efficiency.
