Housing developers are being urged to build not only for shelter but also for health.

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness gave the charge during the National Housing Trust, NHT’s groundbreaking ceremony in Barrett Hall, St. James this afternoon.

The NHT has engaged with West Indies Home Contractors Limited (WIHCON) for the supply of one thousand five hundred and sixty-five housing solutions at Barrett Hall Housing Development.

The project will include one and two-bedroom detached units and serviced lots. 

While listing some of the amenities, Holness acknowledged  the lack of some features such as jogging trails and a playground.

He said these amenities are essential.
