Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness is to meet with Governor General Sir Patrick Allen tomorrow.

The meeting will take place as the Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) formally notified the Governor General today, that the Jamaica Labour Party won last Wednesday’s general election.

The EOJ gave the update to Sir Patrick, based on the official count which concluded on Sunday that showed the JLP winning 35 seats to the PNP’s 28.

Jamaica Labour Party representative on the Electoral Commission of Jamaica and Senior King’s Counsel Tom Tavares Finson says tomorrow’s meeting will pave the way for the swearing in of the new JLP administration.
