PM Holness thanks diaspora for their significant contribution to the country’s economic stability and growth
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has expressed gratitude to members of the Jamaican diaspora for their significant contribution to the country’s economic stability and growth.
He noted that remittances sent by members of the diaspora to their relatives in the island play a crucial role in helping the country maintain a stable foreign exchange rate.
Mr. Holness added that remittances contribute to the country’s net international reserves, which reached a record high in March.
