Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness says ground breaking and opening ceremonies which he participates in, are not linked to the upcoming general election.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony for the Best Dressed Chicken’s Processing Plant in Spring Village, St. Catherine today, Dr. Holness said that event, like many others, is simply on a corporate calendar and is not linked to the impending election. 

The Prime Minister said his presence at ground breaking events within the private sector is not purely in a political capacity, but as the head of the government to commend partners for taking the risks to make long term investments in Jamaica.
